
Norwalk Real Estate Collective Announces Fourth Annual
“OnWashington Entrepreneur Contest”
Winning Business Concept Awarded a Free One-MonthPop-Up Commercial Space on Washington Street in South Norwalk
Norwalk, CT — January 22, 2026— AGW SONO Partners has announced the return of its OnWashingtonEntrepreneur Contest, now entering its fourth year. Produced by thecollective’s OnWashington marketing arm, the annual competition invites entrepreneurs to pitch original business concepts for the opportunity to win a free one-month pop-up commercial space in the Washington Street Historic District in South Norwalk.
The contest continues AGW SONOPartners’ mission of activating underutilized spaces and transforming them intovibrant community destinations. By spotlighting local talent and lowering the barrier to entry for small businesses, the initiative allows entrepreneurs to test new ideas while contributing to the evolving energy of Washington Street. AGW SONO Partners manages 27 properties along the corridor, encompassing restaurants, retail, office space, and lifestyle services, and launched the OnWashington brand to support tenants while promoting Washington Street as aunified destination.
Last year’s contest attracted more than 30 submissions from local entrepreneurs, with concepts ranging from antique and floral shops to health and beauty brands, fitness studios, cafés,and photography spaces. Previous winners include The Art Annex, which operated as a gallery supporting local artists, and Eco Evolution,founded by sustainability advocate “Eco Dude” Brad Kerner. Eco Evolution’s pop-up at 135 Washington Street was so successful that it transitioned into a long-term lease and remains in operation today.
Entrepreneurs selected as finalistswill pitch their concepts to the AGW SONO Partners and OnWashington teams. The 2026 contest winner will receive a one-month pop-up opportunity on Washington Street, providing a real-world environment to test products, engage customers,gather feedback, and refine operations. Ideal concepts include — but are not limited to — fitness studios, gift shops, clothing boutiques, media studios,food markets, galleries or artist collectives, salons, and music schools.

SUBMISSION DETAILS
- Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committeeled by OnWashington and AGW SONO Partners. Submissions should include:
- Entrepreneurprofile/background
- Concept overview (visuals, samples, or examples encouraged)
- Branding deck
- Marketing plan
- Projected financials(optional)
